Our staff, services and procedures are evaluated against a set of specific criteria and guidelines. As a result, St. Elizabeth's experience and expertise has been recognized.

Highest Efficiency: The Heart and Vascular Center at St. Elizabeth's Hospital has been awarded United HealthCare's highest ranking: a "Three Star Quality" designation for achieving the highest efficiency in cardiac care, scoring an impressive 95 out of 100.

Chest Pain Center Accreditation- St. Elizabeth's Hospital was the first hospital in the St. Louis metropolitan area to be accredited by the Society of Chest Pain Centers, a professional organization focused on improving care for patients with acute coronary syndromes and teaching the public to recognize and react to the early symptoms of a possible heart attack.

AACVPR CERTIFICATION: St. Joseph's Highland's cardiac rehab program is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). This is one of only two nationally-certified programs in the metro-east area.

A Nationwide Study: St. Elizabeth's was chosen to participate with Yale University in the Virgo Study exploring the differences between hard attacks in females versus males.
